Method
- Divide pizza dough into four (2 oz.) balls.
- Stretch each dough ball into a 4 to 5-inch circle pressing all sides into the breadcrumbs.
- Heat canola oil for deep frying to 350F.
- Fry breadcrumb coated dough for 2 to 3 minutes per side or until puffed, golden brown and crisp.
- Transfer to a rack and season immediately with kosher salt.
- Add any additional topping you like.
Notes
- Top with warm tomato sauce, a sprinkle of cheese and some fresh herbs.
- Use as a base for eggs Benedict instead of a toasted English muffin.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon-sugar for a sweet treat.
- Top with slices of avocado and any other fixing you like for an avocado toast. Try adding some smoked salmon and creamy dill sauce.
